Are you launching anything exclusive at the Atelier that hasn’t previously been seen before?

Yes! The Atelier will provide an exclusive first look at our capsule bridal collection, designed in collaboration with NET-A-PORTER.COM. For the first time this collection has seen us work with lace, which has been exquisitely hand-corded in France. We hope that the collection will speak to those in pursuit of something modern, yet eternally chic for their big day and of course, beyond.

Where do you find your creative inspiration?

I love to travel and founded the brand in 2011 after moving back to London from Shanghai. In the hedonistic days of the 1920’s Shanghai was known as the ‘Pearl of the Orient’: this period of exotic decadence and glamour was, and continues to be, a strong source of inspiration for me. Whether it is architecture, heritage, traditional dress or landscape, global cities provide me with endless points of reference for my collections.

What makes your brand unique and stand out compared to others in the wedding industry?

With every collection we design it is imperative to us that the end result is modern and directional, yet timeless and beautiful. We didn’t want to compromise this aesthetic with bridal, so rather than revert to the ‘classic’ we sought to reinterpret it: lace and silk provide references to tradition, but the delicate peplums and bias cuts are clean and decidedly modern.

Why do you think the Quintessentially Weddings Atelier is so special?

I relish any opportunity to meet our customers, and the Atelier provides a personal context in which to do this in exceptionally beautiful surroundings, alongside the world’s finest craftsmen and suppliers.

What can the lovely brides and grooms attending the Atelier expect from you this year?

We’re extremely excited to exhibit not only our eponymous bridal collection but also the exclusive bespoke services we offer. From monogramming with royal embroiderers Hand & Lock to bespoke made-to-measure projects, these services provide that inimitable attention to detail that every bride covets. Past projects have seen us dress entire bridal parties in bespoke, monogrammed pyjamas and work personally with brides to tailor a cut or colour-way that works especially for them.

If you could give your brides (& grooms) any piece of advice what would it be?

Be sure to enjoy the roller coaster of being engaged, it’s all part of the ride!
