Bridal beauty is a big part of any brides planning preparation so we had a chat with hair designer Gina Conway to find out what it takes to create the perfect wedding hairstyle and the fabulous treats the team have in store for the brides who attend the Quintessentially Weddings Atelier.
Where do you find your creative inspiration?
I go to shows and follow the seasonal trends in fashion industry. I also do hair for New York Fashion Week. When I get to the museums, I look for sculptural and colourful elements in every kind of medium. I constantly educate myself on new ideas and thrive on innovation.
What makes your brand unique and stand out compared to others in the wedding industry?
We do a bespoke service with a luxury feel where no one in the world apart from the bride and her party are more important. We make brides feel at ease and let their hair be one less thing they need to worry about.
What trends do you predict for 2015?
Softer less structured styles. Movement and bounce if worn long and feminine and flirty if worn shorter.
If you could give your bride any piece of advice what would it be?
Seek out a hair designer who is experienced and has experience doing brides because wedding hair is different than an up-style. Not everyone knows the tricks to long lasting hair up and has the insight to work with the bride’s ideas and build on them.
Why do you think the Quintessentially Weddings Atelier is so special?
We are privileged to be working on the Atelier with Quintessentially because they are very picky about whom the work with and they pick the best of the best, and they picked us!
What can the bride and grooms attending the Atelier expect from you this year?
Brides and grooms will get a special treat in our oasis. We will be giving complimentary foot treatments and massages, back massages, and mini trial hair ups and consultations.
We are also launching our new at home service for luxury hair and spa experiences called Privé by Gina Conway so there will be great goodie bags!
