Today we are delighted to feature one of our founder friends of The Atelier, the wonderful Fiona Cairns.
Fiona was the cake designer behind the magnificent Royal Wedding Cake, and here at Quintessentially Weddings we love Fiona’s creations as they accentuate style and luxury into seriously tasty wedding cakes and treats.
Find out what Fiona’s favourite cake trends are at the moment and what we can expect to see from her at the Atelier next week.

Where do you find your creative inspiration?

Creative process -inspiration comes from all around. Rachel Eardley our creative director and myself discuss our ideas for hours ,and some  of the inspiration for our wedding cakes has come from my country garden.

What makes your brand unique and stand out compared to others in the wedding industry?

We have a unique style -English,understated classic with a twist ,and ensure our cakes taste as good as they look.

What trends do you predict for 2015?

We don’t really follow trends, but none of us work in a vacuum and we are of course aware of some trends. I love ombré -tones of one colour on cakes/flowers/brides maid dresses. Hand painting onto wedding cakes seems to be increasing popular too.We have always loved Vintage -a romantic and mismatched style.

If you could give your bride (& groom) any piece of advice what would it be?

Advice-try to enjoy creating and planning the wedding . it can help to delegate sometimes. Remember it is your big day!

Why do you think the Quintessentially Weddings Atelier is so special?

It is wonderful to exhibit in such exciting locations ,meet other premium brands and hopefully provide inspiration  to the visiting brides and bridegrooms.

What can the bride and grooms attending the Atelier expect from you this year?

Come and see us and sample our delicious cakes, and see the wedding cakes we have created for the October Wedding Atelier!
